At 101 Custom Meats, we not only want to ensure that you receive the very best service, but we also want to make sure that there are no surprises when figuring out your costs. Each section below is designed to ensure that you know up-front what the costs of your processing will be as well as what cut options are available to you.
We offer the mobile slaughter services for a fee or the animal can be dropped of at our location and housed here until slaughter.
Slaughter - $100
The slaughter costs cover time, equipment, and the disposal of the hide and ofal.
Processing - .95 per lb HCW
The Hot Carcass Weight (HCW) is the weight of the carcass following slaughter. Also called Hanging Weight. After the removal of head, feet, hide and ofal; a beef generally weighs 60-64 percent of the original weight.
Processing a Beef includes all the cuts, and grinding and packaging the trim.
Brand Inspection - $21.75
Typically, you will obtain your brand inspection prior to processing. If not, we will call the brand inspector and get the inspection done prior to slaughter.

State Tag Fee - $2.00
The State of Utah requires that animals are tagged and they assess a fee to cover the cost of the tag.
